Details are emerging about a One Direction concert in Peru that reportedly left dozens of fans injured.

Daily Mail says nearly 50 concert-goers needed medical treatment during the show on Sunday night.  Video footage of the boys asking fans to calm down has surfaced online.

Crowds of fans were apparently pushing forward too hard, causing many to be injured in the process.  Emergency tents organized by the country's volunteer fire service went up outside the Peru National Stadium in Lima following the incident.

The head of the department told local radio that they "handled the situation well" and put a evacuation plan in place to ensure the safety of the younger fans in the audience.
